How has genome analysis helped track the movement of Covid-19?
Coronaviruses are not new. They are a large family of viruses that can cause illnesses in both humans and other animals like bats, camels, and civets. Occasionally the coronaviruses that infect animals can evolve to infect humans, which was the case with this novel coronavirus Covid-19.
Exercise and the Treatment of Depression
In recent years, depression has become an all too common diagnosis. In fact, between 2005 to 2015 depression rose significantly amongst Americans aged 12 and older. Have We Discovered the Cocktail to Reverse Biological Aging?
You can’t technically turn back the clock and wake up 10 years younger, but a very recent clinical study has shown that certain changes to DNA that cause aging could potentially be reversible. Biological age is normally measured by changes that accumulate within our DNA over time, resulting in the classic events associated with aging. However, this study has discovered a drug that appears to reverse biological age and minimize the changes in DNA that cause aging.

In fact, one workout does more than you might realize.

Our very own Dr. Mark Sarzynski (director of genomics research at Genetic Direction) and Scott Thompson (chief operating officer of Genetic Direction) were interviewed by Today’s Dietitian and addressed this question. It’s safe to say that a lot of us fall under that last category, but even those people who pop vitamins at every meal may be missing out on some crucial micronutrients necessary for crucial bodily functions that assist with weight loss and overall fitness.
